The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state has told Governor Seyi Makinde to focus on delivering on his campaign promises rather than blaming his predecessor, Abiola Ajimobi for his failures.

The party in a statement by the Oyo state chairman, Akin Oke, also urged the governor to refrain from disparaging federal government’s efforts to contain COVID-19.

The party said that the spread of COVID-19 in the country was curtailed because of the proactive measures put in place by the federal government.

The APC faulted Makinde for alleging that the health facility converted to infection and disease control centre in Olodo, Ibadan was left in bad shape by his predecessor.

The party also called out the Oyo state governor for accusing the federal government of insincerity in its cash transfer to the poor as a palliative for the COVID-19-induced economic hardship.

The APC advised Makinde to come up with policies to stop the spread of COVID-19 rather than trying to cover up his incompetence by apportioning blame to the federal government or the past APC administration of Abiola Ajimobi.

Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has revealed how he fought coronavirus while in isolation after recovering from COVID-19.

In a telephone interview with Fresh FM radio station in Ibadan on Monday, April 6, the Oyo state governor disclosed that he fought the deadly virus with carrots, vitamin C and black seed oil, and honey.

Governor Makinde made the disclosure a day after he tested negative for the disease. Legit.ng recalls that Makinde went into isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

The governor speaking on how he fought the disease said he only made efforts to boost his immunity by consuming vitamin C, carrots and black seed oil mixed with honey.

Makinde went on to explain that he used his time in isolation to regularly exercise on the treadmill.
