COVID-19: Top Nigerian pastor blesses Delta state with N25m relief materials

- Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin has given out N25 million materials to the government of Delta state to tackle coronavirus

- Fufeyin says the gesture is to help the state tackle COVID-19 as it spreads across Nigeria and parts of the world

- The officials of the state government who received the items urged other men of God to take a clue from Fufeyin

Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of the Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry has blessed Delta state with N25 million materials as COVID-19 continues to take a toll on the country.

The clergyman made the donation through his foundation, the Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin Foundation (JOFF).

The materials, Legit.ng gathered, include food.

The donation, according to Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, is part of his support to the state government in its effort to tackle the challenges of the coronavirus as well as to alleviate the economic hardship of the less-privilege in the state.

According to the foundation, the items include: 3,000 cartoons, 5,000 pieces of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, 3,000 pieces of face mask, 2,050 pieces of hand gloves and other relief materials.

The items were received by Prince Kelly Punahwo, an aide to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and some of his colleagues.

At the event, Fufeyin, said: “Due to the global outbreak of COVID-19 and the present challenging social, economic and public health realities, this is the time to show love and I want to appeal to all clergymen to show love by supporting the efforts of government in helping to cushion the effects of the pandemic on Delta residents."

Punahwo, while receiving the items, said: “We want to say thank you for this your laudable kind gesture for the people of the state and for your support against the COVID-19 pandemic.

We receive the relief material and we will pass your message to the governor and you will hear from him."

Also, Honourable Ramsey Otega Onoyake, chairman, Uvwie local government area of the state, appreciated Fufeyin the contribution.

Onoyake also called on more clergymen in the state to support the local government to be able to help combat the spread of the virus as the local government doesn't find it easy because “we are the grassroots and this donation today will go a long way."

Legit.ng earlier reported that Fufeyin recently blessed his workers with N25 million to help cushion the effect of the coronavirus pandemic on them.

In a video posted on YouTube, the man of God could be seen giving each of his worker bundle of money to feed as coronavirus pandemic continues.
