- Cristiano Ronaldo has won five Ballon d'Or award in his career
Cristiano Ronaldo has been honored by Senegal international Ismaila Sarr who named him as the best footballer in the world and also wished to see the Portuguese play live.
Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona star Lionel Messi have been the two most rated footballers on earth for the past 10 years because of their superb performances.
Many will pick Cristiano Ronaldo and the best, while others will settle for Lionel Messi as the greatest footballer on earth.
Sarr who plays for Premier League side Watford has however joined the debates naming Cristiano Ronaldo as the best footballer in the world.
The 22-year-old stated clearly that he is impressed Cristiano Ronaldo's style of play and his goal scoring ability and wants to watch him live.
“Cristiano Ronaldo. I haven’t seen him play live, but I really want to. He’s the best in the world. He plays well, he scores goals that are like works of art.
“I’ve played against Mane and he is strong. But I have played against Neymar and I’d choose him because he is so strong in every aspect of the game, except he doesn’t defend,''. Sarr told the club website.
Before the suspension of the Premier League season, Ismaila Sarr has scored five goals and three assists in 19 games for Watford. He grabbed a brace as Watford ended Liverpool unbeaten run in the Premier League after a 3-0 victory.
Sarr and his teammates at Watford are currently occupying 17th position on the Premier League standings with hopes of escaping relegation.
