- The 31-year-old's current deal with the Blues elapses two months from now
- And the Blues are not ready to give him what he wants in a bid to get him to sign a new deal
- The Brazilian wants a three-year deal but Frank Lampard is not ready to give him more than two
Brazil winger Willian seems to have given up on Chelsea following his failure to land a new deal with the Blues.
The forward's current deal will expire in June but it appears Frank Lampard has no need for the player who has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
Although Paris Saint Germain are also said to have thrown their hat in the ring for the attacker's signature, it is left to be seen which of the clubs he would join.
According to the Mirror, the 31-year-old wanted a new three-year contract to remain at Stamford Bridge but his employers are not ready to give him more than one year, or at most two.
This now means that Willian can join a new club on his own terms once his deal with the London club expires in about two months from now.
"With Chelsea, it's over," he told Expediente Futebol. "Everyone knows my contract ends in a few months. A renewal is difficult."
"Chelsea proposed two extra years and I wanted three. We're not talking anymore. There won't be a negotiation."
Daily Mail reports that PSG believe Willian's versatility would be perfect for Thomas Tuchel's style as they hope to contend for European titles.
Meanwhile, his agent Kia Joorabchian could facilitate a move to Barcelona, with Philippe Coutinho heading in the opposite direction.
The two top European clubs are watching Willian's situation at his EPL club and will be willing to make a move for him once the coast is clear.

He has also won two Premier Leagues, one Europa League, and two other domestic titles for west Londoners.

The Brazilian has been in a spectacular form under the leadership of club's new boss Frank Lampard and his fabulous form has attracted the interest of the Catalans.
With his contract with Chelsea ending at the end of the summer, Barcelona are desperate to lure the winger and have met his representatives on several occasions, but it seems the Brazilain ace is not interested in switching side to Spain.
