Coronavirus no suppose dey affect poor people - Nigerian man laments

- A Nigerian man has said that only the wealthy ought to be the victims of coronavirus

- The man said that poor people do not engage in activities he said caused the spread

- In his other comment, he lamented the state the two-week lockdown has put the masses

In a video by Legit TV, a Nigerian man has lamented the fact that coronavirus pandemic is affecting poor people.

The man said that the coronavirus ought to be the headache of the rich who have access to travel and other great things in life.

He said people like him who have to toil under the sun endlessly to fend for themselves and who still do not have enough to feed on ought to be exempted.

The interviewee said that some of the reasons for the pandemic are that some people eat various kinds of untold animals and engage in some unsalutary activities that are always the preserve of the rich.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that another unnamed Nigerian has cried out for help as lockdown harsh reality bites hard.

The old woman said that relief materials given to her cannot sustain her. In a short video posted online, the woman tabled out the morsel of raw rice and beans given to her as relief material by Shomulu local government in Lagos state.

As some unseen people filmed her, they urged her to speak out against the unfairness of it. At first, the woman was scared, saying she does not want to be attacked.

When they encouraged her more, she broke down in her worries, asking the government to help her, that the food cannot take her through the lockdown period.

As the woman spoke, another unseen party joined in, saying Nigerians are really having a hard time and the government is not helping.

In other news, a mortuary that has the size of two football fields put together is presently being built for coronavirus deaths in London.

The morgue will be on Wanstead Flats, in Manor Park, very close to the City of London cemetery. Very close to the morgue also is the new 4,000-bed NHS Nightingale Hospital.

With the proximity, anybody who kicks the bucket due to the virus will quickly be moved into the facility. The same media reports also that the construction work going on at the place could be completed within some weeks.
