He said the most challenging period of his treatment was the first few days when he experienced anxiety and trauma.

Mohammed thanked Nigerians, friends and family members for their prayers.

He, however, urged Nigerians to be careful about spreading fake news regarding the coronavirus pandemic, noting that fake news worsens the health condition of patients.

Meanwhile, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state who is also the incident commander of the #Covid19Lagos has announced the recovery and discharge of 11 more patients from the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, after testing negative twice.

Nigerian Tribune reports that the patients comprised nine males and two females, making the number of those who have recovered to 18.

In another news, the presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church International, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, says coronavirus would soon become a thing of the past in Nigeria.

The Guardian reports that Oyedepo stated this while donating an ambulance and Personal Protective Gears (PPE) to the Ogun state government to help in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

Legit.ng gathers that Oyedepo was represented by his son who, Pastor David Oyedepo (Junior), who is also a senior pastor in the church.

The items were presented to the state government at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital, on Wednesday, April 1. Oyedepo said the gesture was part of the church’s commitment towards ending the scourge of coronavirus in the state.

The items were received by the Ogun state deputy governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, on behalf of the state.

The deputy governor commended the church for the generous donation and reiterated the government’s commitment to partnering religious organisation and individuals in the curtailing the spread of the virus.
