Barely one month after quitting his last club, the 32-year-old is now reported to be on the verge of joining the Brazilian side according to Yahoo Sports.

Mikel made 19 appearances for the Turkish club who currently tops the league table before the league was eventually suspended a few weeks back.

The Blues legend sealed the move to join Trabzonspor after helping Nigeria win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medal in Egypt.
