Man, 75, with lung problems beats the coronavirus, offers hope

There's no doubting the effect the coronavirus has had and people around the world have been living in fear.

However, the recent recovery made by one man should bring hope to those fearing the worst.

It's been well documented that the Covid-19 strain has the most devastating effects on the elderly and those with underlying medical conditions.

Peter Kerpen meets both criteria and recently tested positive for the dreaded virus.

Not only is Peter 75 years of age, but he's also been living with limited lung function.

Despite this, he was recently discharged after making a remarkable recovery.

His son Phil was beaming with pride and took to Twitter to share the news:

"Dad went home today... crushed coronavirus even though he is 75 and has limited lung function... the greatest."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the governor of Ekiti, Kayode Fayemi, rejoiced over the latest coronavirus development in the state.

In a tweet on Tuesday, March 31, he said that the only Covid-19 patient in the state has been discharged from its isolation centre. He attached three pictures of the isolation centre to his post as he shared the news.

In other news, a beautiful Ghanaian couple got married in a very simple wedding ceremony, observing the strict social distancing measures to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

In a video sighted by Legit.ng on the official Instagram handle of Facts and Truths, the wedding was held outside the chapel to avoid going against president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's orders for all church services to be suspended.

It is thought that the simple wedding ceremony was held at a branch of the Church of Pentecost in Ghana as the pastor is identified as Rev Thomas Agbeke who is a district pastor in the church.
