Coronavirus: Generous traffic officer buys food for homeless people during lockdown

- A kindhearted cop set a brilliant example for all South Africans to aspire to

- During the 21-day lockdown, the law enforcement officer is doing his bit to feed the needy

- The generous officer urged all citizens to consider the homeless and hungry during these challenging times

Ziyanda Mbalo came across the good deeds of a kindhearted law enforcement officer and took to social media to share the news.

She included a photo of the cop and added the following caption:

"This traffic officer took some of his time to buy homeless people some food. I forgot his name but it is testimony that even through this time that God has put us through he is still with us. God bless this man." discovered that Siphelelo Msamo was the officer in question and that the kind gesture was not a one-off.

Msamo has been encouraging South Africans to give to the homeless and hungry during the 21-day lockdown.

The officer was pictured buying numerous loaves of bread and has urged others to follow suit.

Msamo was hailed as a hero via Facebook.

Boniswa Anna Ngwandla said,

"He is blessed already."

Okuhle Twasile identified the kind officer:

"His name is Siphelo Msamo."

Velenca Davidson also praised him:

"So super proud of you. Keep up the good work."

Lazola L-zee Moyi added,

"God Bless You My G."

In other news, a three-year-old girl simply identified as Arya has thanked everyone fighting against the spread of coronavirus and assured that everything will be okay.

Arya advised people to not go out unless they really have to, adding that they should always wash their hands and put on their masks.

She said: "Thanks to our frontliners who helping those who are already suffering because of the virus, and those who are helping the ones in need. Let's help the world heal. And stay home, don't go out unless you really have to."

Arya also advised against hoarding of alcohol, saying such practice is bad.
