Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly considering re-signing English winger Raheem Sterling five years after his controversial move to Manchester City from Anfield.

It was in serious controversy that made Raheem Sterling to leave Liverpool in 2015 despite being offered new contract by the Red chiefs.

But the England international turned the deal down at Liverpool and decided to move to Manchester City in a big transfer for the winger.

During that time according to BBC, Raheem Sterling stated that fight to win titles was the major reason that made him to leave the Anfield stadium for a move to the Etihad.

And since he moved to Manchester City from Liverpool, Raheem Sterling has won two Premier League titles, FA Cups and three Carabao Cup with the Citizens.

However, his aim of winning the Champions League has not been actualized as Pep Guardiola has failed to win Europe with his wards at the Etihad stadium.

According to the latest report by French outlet L'Equipe, Liverpool are thinking of re-signing Raheem Sterling, but their budget for next season will play a pivotal role in that.

"Even if Raheem is attached to Manchester City, he hasn’t forgotten Liverpool, because that’s where he became who he is as a man and as a player," a source close to Sterling explained.

Liverpool are still waiting for the decision that will be made for them to known if the League will continue or it will be cancelled due to coronavirus.

Klopp and his men are topping the standings and they were on the verge of winning the title before the League was suspended.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how some Premier League clubs have reportedly shown interest for the 2019/20 season to be abandoned because of the threat coronavirus has brought to the world.

And should that be done, then it means Liverpool will not be crowned the Premier League champions despite their efforts so far this season.

Jurgen Klopp and his wards have been topping the Premier League table since the season started and they have only lost one game and drew one winning the remaining ties.

The Reds have also established a 25 points lead on second placed Manchester City who have no chance again to retain their Premier League title.
