Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has reportedly been attacked in his mansion in England by masked robbers who are said to have tied him up on a chair while operating.
Ashley Cole was one of the best left backs during his active time in the Premier League and was among the Arsenal team that lost the Champions League final against Barcelona.
According to the report on UK Sun, Ashley Cole's mansion in Surrey was attacked by men yet to be known who stole many valuable things like jewelries.
The report added that the thieves found their ways inside the house through the rear doors before they started their operation.
Also on Daily Mail, the robbers were said to have threatened to do something bad to Ashley Cole if he fails to cooperate with them in his house.
“It was a terrifying experience. The robbers sounded very professional and knew exactly what they were doing.
“They must have deliberately targeted Ashley and cased the place in advance,''. a source close to Cole explained according to UK Sun.
However, Ashley Cole was not harmed by the robbers after he cooperated with them while the robbery was going on, but he was said to have been devastated after the thieves left.
Police are still investigating the incident and Ashley Cole has been promised that the hoodlums will be fished out.
Ashley Cole retired from football at the end of last season and he has been doing punditry job since he hanged his boots playing last for Derby County.
On international scene, the 39-year-old played 107 games for England national team.
