A former governor of Oyo state, Dr Abiola Ajimobi, has expressed solidarity with his successor, Governor Seyi Makinde as he tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19).
Ajimobi told newsmen on Monday evening in Ibadan that testing positive to COVID-19 was not a death sentence, commending Makinde for his bravery.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Makinde had on Monday, March 30, through his twitter handle confirmed that he tested positive to COVID-19.
Ajimobi expressed solidarity with the governor, saying he had already sent a solidarity message to wish him a quick recovery and God’s protection.
“Immediately I heard that my brother, Gov. Seyi Makinde’s test came back positive, I sent him a text message to express solidarity with him and wish him quick recovery and God’s protection.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that a lady simply identified as @FabDLP_ on Twitter has shared a heart-wrenching story of how she lost four family members to the coronavirus pandemic.
The lady said she lost her aunt and her aunt's daughter to the deadly disease. She said her aunt's daughter died the following day after the latter died.
As if that was not enough, she said coronavirus virus also claimed the lives of her cousins and their grandmother in less than 24 hours.
Legit.ng also reported that a heartbroken Nigerian father has threatened to take his daughter out of an isolation centre in Nigeria, alleging that his daughter is being given poor treatment.
A video of the father has been circulating on social media, in which the man could be seen saying she prefers the girl to die in her house than to die in that isolation centre.
He said his daughter has not seen any doctor or nurse since morning, neither has she been fed.

Precious disclosed in a message on social media that she tested positive for the COVID-19 and she asked her friends to remember her in their prayers for a speedy recovery.
