Oluwo of Iwoland offers self as sacrifice for coronavirus

- The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Adewale Akanbi, has shown great concern over the coronavirus outbreak

- In a short video shared online, the monarch asked the pandemic to attack him instead of the world

- Oluwo added that only God has the superior power to put an end to the outbreak

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Adewale Akanbi, has added his voice to the coronavirus fray as seen in a video that emerged online.

In the said video, the monarch prayed to God to put an end to the virus as he offered himself as a sacrifice to save people.

In a loosely translated Yoruba, he said that only God knows the true nature of diseases all over the world, adding that COVID-19 should come to infect him instead of attacking people's health.

Oluwo added that he was directed by God to make the profession as a way to deal with the outbreak.

However, it appears many Nigerians were not moved by his show of selflessness. While many sarcastically prayed for God to answer his prayers, others simply were not impressed by it.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a Nigerian lady with the name Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi shared her isolation experience after she recovered from coronavirus.

She said that she started noticing symptoms of the virus after she returned from the UK post-commonwealth event.

Oluwaseun had to quickly self-isolate, and some days after then tested positive to the deadly COVID-19. The development threw off all her arrival plans.

The Nigerian lady said she had to call the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to get tested and on getting to the isolation centre, had to wait for a long two-hour period. Her initial treatment at the centre was horrible as nurses treated her like she was a “plague”.
