A Nigerian clergyman, Bishop Isaac Idahosa of the God First Ministry, has decided to make special provisions for members of his church in the face of the biting situation caused by coronavirus.
Legit.ng reports that Bishop Idahosa, whose church is located in the Badore area of Ajah, Lagos state, also asked the members of the congregation to halt payment of offerings.
According to the clergyman, this is the time to survive at a time coronavirus is taking a toll on the country and the world.
Bishop Idahosa urged the members to spend their offerings on themselves to keep body and soul together while the lockdown continues in Lagos.
To ensure the reduction of the impact of the sit-at-home directive of the government on members of the church, the bishop also distributed foodstuff including rice to them
He also distributed money and hand sanitisers as he carries out enlightenment of the members on the pandemic and how to protect themselves both physically and spiritually.
Legit.ng reports that as the world continues to combat the dreaded coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, the general overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, in an online service, stated that God is making a statement with the ailment.
Adeboye claimed God told him that the world would be going on compulsory holiday over the outbreak of the virus.
He further stated God is using the plague to show the world he is in control. He also stated that the virus will not go away but will only be subdued.
Meanwhile, a Nigerian lady with the name Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi has shared her isolation experience after she recovered from coronavirus.
She said that she started noticing symptoms of the virus after she returned from the UK post-commonwealth event.
Oluwaseun had to quickly self-isolate, and some days after then tested positive to the deadly Covid-19. The development threw off all her arrival plans.
