The coronavirus pandemic is a serious issue that has spread beyond imagination to all countries of the world. The countries who did not take the issue seriously in the first place are now living to regret it.

It appears that Africa is just catching up with the rest of the world in terms of the virus as there were initially false reports on how the virus does not affect black people because we have strong immune systems.

Well, time has shown that to be greatly false as people of different colour and nationality have passed on from the disease. Seeing as the healthcare system in Africa is not up to par, the virus is now a great cause for concern in Nigeria.

The government has now declared a lock down as people are to stay at home so as to curb the spread of the virus.

Just recently, Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita, took to social media to share a video of herself crying profusely as she begged God to take away the pandemic.

In the caption of her post, Rita begged God to heal the nations of the world.

Excerpt from her post reads: “We humbly and wholly concede that our failure to acknowledge YOU for WHO YOU ARE has brought upon us that which we have found ourselves;

But now we realize our folly.

Please, forgive us,

Have mercy upon us

Protect us from every evil,

Shower YOUR Goodness and love upon us again.

Glorify YOUR name and

Wrought YOUR wonders in our world heal our nations;

And we shall return praises to YOU,

In JESUS NAME AMEN.”
