Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Nigerian football star Odion Ighalo for bringing positive vibes to the club's dressing room.

The 30-year-old has been impressive since he joined the Red Devils on a short term loan deal from Chinese based club Shanghai Shenhua two months ago.

With his deal set to expire this June, the Norwegian born tactician is said to be weighing an option of handing the former Super Eagles star a permanent deal.

Reports claim that his Chinese Super League side are planning to offer him a staggering £400,000 per week deal to stop him from taking any deal United might offer him.

The Mirror further stated that the Red Devils are also plotting a move for the trio of RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, Lyon’s Moussa Dembele, and Wolves ’ Raul Jimenez.

Meanwhile, Ighalo was asked earlier if he would take a pay cut to join United but the striker refused to make any comment concerning that.

He told SunSport: “Talking about other things now will not only be selfish but terribly insensitive,”

I don’t even think about it. The challenge before us now is not a football one, but a global one. You can’t put football before health challenges.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Odion Ighalo has hinted that he is not interested in becoming the president of Nigeria because he cannot cope with the troubles that come with politics.

The Manchester United loanee replied a fan who tipped him to take up the mantle of leadership in his country but the former Watford man gave an apt response in pidgin.

“Abeg o leave me to manage my position as Manchester United striker. I no fit Naija wahala or politics,” he replied in a tweet in Pidgin English.
