Emmanuel Petit thinks Guardiola could leave Man City because of UCL ban

- Emmanuel Petit says Guardiola could leave Manchester City

- This is because of the Citizens' two years ban in Champions League

- Manchester City have gone to CAS to appeal the ban

Former Arsenal and Barcelona star Emmanuel Petit has suggested that Spaniard Pep Guardiola could be leaving Manchester City because of their two years ban from playing Champions League.

Manchester City were banned for two years after they were accused of breaking the fair play rules of the Champions League.

And since the Citizens were sanctioned, there have been reports that some players and even the manager may be living the club this summer unless things change.

Guardiola also explained immediately after the ban that he would not leave the club and also urged his wards to stay together in this period.

"It could be an opportunity for him to step back and have some rest. It wasn't a long time ago that he seemed clearly tired of being manager." Petit explained according to UK Mirror.

Man United star Ighalo makes big statement to fans amid Coronovirus pandemic

Manchester City have tendered an appeal, but the court of arbitration have not sat on their case due to the outbreak of deadly coronavirus.

Pep Guardiola was actually brought to the Etihad stadium because of his experience in Champions League football, but he has not been able to win the title with Manchester City.

City may try to win this season's Champions League, but that will be if UEFA should allow the competition to continue.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how some Premier League clubs have reportedly shown interest for the 2019/20 season to be abandoned because of the threat coronavirus has brought to the world.

And should that be done, then it means Liverpool will not be crowned the Premier League champions despite their efforts so far this season.

Jurgen Klopp and his wards have been topping the Premier League table since the season started and they have only lost one game and drew one winning the remaining ties.

Panic at Old Trafford as Coronavirus could hinder Ighalo's current contract extension with Man United

The Reds have also established a 25 points lead on second placed Manchester City who have no chance again to retain their Premier League title.

Liverpool have also been waiting to break the 30 years jinx when they last won the Premier League title, but as it is, they may not be given the diadem.
