COVID-19: Wofai Fada tests negative after contact with UK returnee at the AMVCA

- Wofai Fada has revealed that she tested negative for coronavirus

- The media personality and actress revealed she was exposed to the dreaded virus at the recently held AMVCA

- According to reports, a photographer identified as Seun had returned to Nigeria from the UK and showed symptoms

Nigerian media personality and Nollywood actress Wofai Fada has taken to social media to share results of her test for coronavirus, which came back negative.

Recall a few weeks back, it was announced that an AMVCA attendee who had just returned from the UK showed symptoms of the virus and may have contracted it from the UK.

Wofai who was seen in a viral photo with the said COVID-19 carrier identified as Seun was advised, alongside many others, to test for the virus. She did and was all too happy to share the outcome.

Sharing screenshots for proof of her test, she wrote: "I’ve seen pictures I took with a fan from the last amvca award, go viral. I wasn’t scared at first, but the calls and messages from everyone made me panic.

After staying isolated for 14 days without any symptoms of corona, I still went for a test just to confirm and the result came out negative. Thanks to everyone that reached out to me. I’m safe. Be safe too. Happy quarantine."

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed five new cases of the raging coronavirus in the country as Rivers state gets its first case. According to the NCDC, two of the new cases are in Lagos, two are in Abuja while the remaining one is in Rivers state.

With the new confirmed cases, Nigeria now has 51 cases with two patients discharged and one death, as of Wednesday evening, March 25.

Earlier, reported that Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa state tested negative for coronavirus, according to a statement released by the state government on Wednesday evening.

The statement indicated that Governor Sule had earlier invited his medical team to conduct comprehensive tests on his person and obtain samples.
