In Nigeria, there are a lot of stereotypes surrounding single mothers. It has been said that they find it hard to get a man again after having a child because most men do not want to be with a woman who already has a child for someone else.

Some people even hold the belief that the children raised by single mothers become problematic in future and that people should avoid starting serious relationships, talk less of marriage, with them.

Just recently a Twitter user identified as Cindy took to the microblogging site to speak on being in relationships with girls raised by single mothers.
