The president of Southern Youth Development Forum and General Overseer of Royal House of Faith, Pastor Bassey James, has called for urgent prayers for the quick recovery of the chief of staff, Mallam Abba Kyari and other Nigerians infected with the deadly Covid-19 virus.
James made the call at his church's headquarter, Lekki, Lagos to newsmen when some concerned clerics joined him for the special prayers.
He told journalists that the clerics commenced the intercessory prayers for the chief of staff to the president, shortly after media reports confirmed that Kyari tested positive to the killer Covid-19 virus.
"We have mobilised ministers across the nation to pray fervently for the chief of staff's quick recovery," James said.
He noted that Kyari has rendered selfless service and committed himself to the progress of Nigeria while serving the president with unbroken loyalty.
"On this premise, I urge all Nigerians to pray and equally be hopeful because Kyari is at the moment receiving medical attention in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja."
Also, he praised the Lagos state government on the response the administration gave the coronavirus pandemic.
"At this point, I sincerely wish to congratulate the Lagos state government for being the rally point for many Nigerians," he added.
Meanwhile, he called on President Buhari to remain calm because God will intervene and save Nigerians from this pandemic.
Also speaking in the same vein, Alhaji Ali Gambo, a chieftain of the All Progressive Party (APC), said that he is also mobilizing Muslims and clerics to join the prayers for Kyari and other Nigerians who are already infected by the strange disease.
