- Nani claims he thought Ronaldo everything he knows
- Both players were teammates at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009
- Nani named his countryman in his ultimate 5-a-side team
Nani has yet again taken a cheeky one at Cristiano Ronaldo when asked to name his ultimate 5-a-side team as he claims the Juventus star had learnt everything from him, Daily Star reports.
The pair were teammates at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009 where they both won two Premier League titles as well as the 2008 UEFA Champions League.
Nani joined United in 2007 and that was a massive four years after Ronaldo had moved to the Old Trafford side and both players were great in the attack for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes also made it to Nani’s ultimate 5-a-side team as well as David De Gea.
In a video posted via the official MLS account, the Orlando City winger named Portuguese team-mate Bruno Alves as his defender.
“In goal, De Gea. For me, one of the best in the world, and a good friend of mine,” Nani said
“He must bring his glasses with him because he don’t see nothing without [them]. It’s true!
“The other four players. Deco, one of idols. I would put a defender, Bruno Alves.
Nani joked about his fellow Portuguese attacker, continuing: “Cristiano Ronaldo with all his skills, fast feet… all I teach him his youth you know! He learned a lot from me, he knows, he knows…
“One more, huh? It would be me! So guys, as the coach, no problem, I can be a coach as well.
“The other player would be an English player, Paul Scholes. Great control of the ball and great vision.”
Nani’s five-a-side team: De Gea, Bruno Alves, Scholes, Deco, Ronaldo.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nani has claimed that legendary Man United manager Alex Ferguson does not care if his players turned up training drunk during the festive season.
The Portuguese winger admitted the Scotsman had good man management skills that he ignored player's excesses during the hectic Christmas and New Year programme.
Nani won four Premier League titles and the Champions League during his eight seasons at Old Trafford.
And the Euro 2016 winner credits Ferguson for playing an important role in helping him to settle and flourish as a player and person.
