The La Liga giants are in desperate need of a striker to complement Karim Benzema’s effort upfront and Erling Haaland is now their major priority in the summer transfer window, Mirror reports.

Los Blancos have a poor goal record since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus despite signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Luka Jovic for a massive £62million.

Top Spanish outlet Marca reports that Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is also not confident playing Mariano as an alternative, with Benzema also not getting the goals as usual.

The French international forward has managed just one goal in his last seven matches, a situation which worries the management of the club. They are desperate in bringing in another striker to support him.

They have reached a unanimous decision and Haaland is their main target. The Norweigian has netted 12 goals since his move to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in January.

It was gathered that Real Madrid have to meet up with the 19-year-old’s release clause of £63m to land him at the Bernabeu in the summer.

Barcelona currently lead the La Liga standings with 58 points from 27 matches while Real Madrid are second with 56 points.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Real Madrid have jumped in the chase for Nigerian youngster Victor Osimhen this summer.

The former Wolfsburg of Germany attacker has continued to attract interests from top European managers barely on year in France.

The 21-year-old forward has scored 13 goals and four assists in 23 French League appearances in his debut season for Lille. Having scored a total of 18 and six assists in 38 matches across competitions so far this campaign, the Super Eagles striker boasts of at least a goal per match.
