Man who stole phones worth N1.9m in Computer Village caught days after

- A young man who reportedly stole phones worth N1.9m from Computer Village in Lagos has been caught

- According to reports, the alleged thief stole 14 pieces of phones from a phone shop

- Following a bounty of N50k placed on his head, he was caught only days later

- A video of the young man in the company of his captors has since gone viral online

A few days ago, a website developer identified on Twitter as @iamAbiodunAA took to the micro-blogging platform to seek help in catching a young man who had allegedly stolen 14 phones worth N1.9m from a store in Computer Village, Lagos.

Screenshots of the young man leaving the shop was supposedly gotten from a CCTV video, shared online and a bounty of N50k was placed on his head as a reward for whoever got the alleged thief.

The 99 days didn't take long as the young man was apprehended barely 3 days after the announcement was made. Sharing the good news, @iamAbiodunAA posted a video of the young man in the company of his captors and it has since gone viral online.

Many Twitter users who saw the video expressed surprise and amusement at how the young man was treated by his captors.

One follower even suspected that the boy was going to get beaten as soon as the cameras were off.

However, @iamAbiodunAA maintained that no bodily harm was done to the boy as they plan to hand him over to the police.

He wrote: "No bro, we are not cowards, we just decided not to beat or harass him, it’s a waste of time n energy, we chose to change the narrative, let the police do their job. Mind you, if we chose to beat him, we will record it n post it, because he deserves it but we didn’t!"

Meanwhile, a Nigerian lady has taken to social media to cry out after a thief climbed into her ceiling and refused to come out. According to her, a neighbour noticed some noise in her apartment and called her.

They came home and discovered someone in her ceiling. Despite all efforts by her neighbours and some area boys, the thief has refused to come out. She even alleged that he 'threw fire down'.
