Popular Nigerian actress Eku Edewor has celebrated Mother's Day in style. The celebration took place on Sunday, March 22, with mothers around the world being honoured by their family members and loved ones.

The talented actress also took to her Instagram page to celebrate herself as a mother. In her attempt to celebrate the special day for mothers, the actress also shut down rumours that she used a surrogate for her pregnancy.

According to the mom, a lot of people believe that she used a surrogate because she never shared photos of her baby bump.

In the post, she shared a photo of herself nine months pregnant with a growing baby bump. Edewor noted that the photo was taken a week before she had her child in October 2016. She said ever since then, she has been lucky to see every growth in her daughter.

She said she was lucky during her pregnancy because she never had any complications asides from the regular back pains, tiredness, nausea, and reflux in the first trimester.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Nollywood actress and new mom, Toyin Abraham, was not left out of the Mother's Day celebration. She took to her Instagram page to celebrate the day with a photo from when her son, Ire was born.

Abraham revealed she was ecstatic to celebrate her first Mother’s Day, and also prayed for other women who were yet to become mothers. She also reminded her followers about practicing the necessary precautions to avoid getting infected with coronavirus.

She wrote: "This is my first Mother's Day as a mother and the feeling is extremely surreal. I am thankful and ecstatic all at once and I am using myself as a point of contact for everybody looking for the fruit of the womb. Your wish will be granted in Jesus name.
