Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes are reportedly set to join forces in a bid to help fight the dreaded coronavirus in Portugal, SunSport reports.
The Juventus striker’s agent Mendes has made a donated heavily by purchasing vital medical items for the Sao Joao hospital in Portugal.
It was reported that the super-agent bought 200,000 gowns and three ventilators for the hospital located in the Portuguese capital Porto.
The country’s National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) field tent was specially set up at the location to help fight the dreaded disease.
Mendes is also planning to buy an additional 50,000 face masks and will also donate huge amount of money to the hospital in the next few days.
The act is said to have touched Ronaldo who earns a whopping £28million per year in wages at Juventus. He is said to be interested and will now support the initiative.
Cristiano Ronaldo was earlier seen in a video teaching his children how to wash their hands as coronavirus continue to spread across the globe.
Medics around the world have urged the populace to wash hands from time to time and Ronaldo is not taking chances. He took time to teach his two sons and daughter how to ensure their hands are very clean.
Ronaldo has been cleared not to be a carrier of the deadly coronavirus despite being held in quarantine in his native country of Portugal since early this week.
Miguel Albuquerque who is the president of the Madeira regional government explained this according to Daily Mail which means Cristiano Ronaldo has been tested negative.
The Italia Serie A has been suspended as all players have been told to self-quarantine themselves. Italy is now the country with the hit as 4875 people have lost their lives to the dreaded disease.
