Ronaldinho clocked 40 and the Brazilian legend celebrated with a huge barbeque party in Paraguayan prison.

The former Barcelona star was congratulated by former international teammates Ronaldo de Lima and Roberto Carlos.

Ronaldinho was nabbed along with his at the airport a few days ago as he entered the country with fake documents.

And the ex-AC Milan legend has been told he could spend six months in prison.

Amid his troubles, the 40-year-old received messages from his fellow 2002 World Cup winners Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos.

But he received some good news in the form of Instagram messages from his fellow 2002 World Cup winners.

Ronaldo, 43, posted a photo of himself with Ronaldinho and the caption: “Congratulations Xará (mate)! May you overcome this difficult stage of your life with the same joy as always! #Ronaldinho40 @ronaldinho.”

Carlos, 46, posted a photo of them playing in a game together and wrote: “Best wishes friend @ronaldinho 40 years old #happybirthday my friend.”

Ronaldinho’s former Barcelona team-mate Samuel Eto’o also reached out in an Instagram video.

Eto’o said: “Happy birthday my brother.

“Hello brother, I have no words, brother. I don’t even know what to say, we are talking to see how we can encourage you.

“You are my brother, my friend. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. I can only ask you to have strength and to pray a lot.

“What I can do, I will do. And if I can’t do it, I’ll ask a friend for the favour.”

Legit.ng has earlier reported that Barcelona legend Ronaldinho clocked 40 on Saturday, March 21, and the former midfield maestro would not have wished for what he was served.

The Brazilian celebrated his birthday in the Paraguayan maximum prison where he is presently held for fake documents.

His brother is also detained in the same facility and they both face a jail term of about six months should they be found guilty of the offense levied at them.

This however summed up the plight of the World Cup winner, who went from partying with the likes of Floyd Mayweather to marking a landmark 40th birthday behind bars.
