Nigerian football star Odion Ighalo has refused to talk about his Manchester United future due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 30-year-old joined the Red Devils in what could be described as a dream move from Shanghai Shenhua on a six months loan this in January.

His performances for the Old Trafford outfit in his last few matches have positioned him for a contract extension at the Theater of Dreams.

The former Super Eagles forward has scored four goals and one assist in his last eight appearances for United across competitions.

However, his short term loan deal could expire long before the 2019-20 Premier League season wraps up owing to the virus ravaging the world at the moment.

Daily Mail reports that the Nigerian star is not ready to talk about his future at the club, admitting it is insensitive to about staying at the club beyond this summer.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not just satisfied with the former Watford star, he is planning to extend his stay at the club.

Ighalo told The Sun: "Talking about other things now will not only be selfish but terribly insensitive. I don't even think about it.

"The challenge before us now is not a football one, but a global one.

"You can't put football before health challenges. What matters right now is to keep safe and pray for those battling with the virus to recover fully.

Manchester United have postponed their training sessions after the FA concluded that the league will resume later next month.
