Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua: Eddie Hearn says unification fight now a priority

- Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua unification fight could happen in the middle of the year

- Both fighters have a mandatory challenger each for that period

- But Hearn believes that is the match everyone would want to watch after Fury defeated Wilder last month

A heavyweight unification fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua could be next on the boxing menu as both fighters are reportedly looking to dump their respective opponents.

The spotlight has shifted from what everyone expected to be the epic fight of them all after Gypsy King battered Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas about a month ago.

Fury made his American opposition to kiss the canvass in the seventh round and became the new WBO champion.

Although the Bronze Bomber has triggered the rematch clause in their contract meaning both of them will face off for the third time in July.

About the same time Joshua is expected to face his mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev in a bid to retain his titles.

However, the outbreak of deadly coronavirus could change their plans, after all, there's no specific date for the trilogy yet.

Joshua's representative Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports that the fight between his client and Fury might be considered a more priority bout than that of Pulev.

And Hearn told Sky Sports: "Well I think, all of a sudden, does the Joshua-Fury fight start taking priority, maybe over a Pulev fight, if the Pulev fight extends beyond the summer.

"There's so much that could happen right now. "I mean anything is possible, but contractually Deontay Wilder is going to want his fight next.
