Ben Murray-Bruce loses wife of 41 years to cancer

It is indeed a trying time for the family members of popular Nigerian businessman and top media executive, Ben Murray-Bruce, following the passing of his wife, Evelyn Murray Bruce.

The founder of the Silverbird Group took to his official page on the microblogging platform, Twitter, on Friday, March 20, to share the devastating news.

According to Ben, he lost his wife to cancer. He disclosed that they have been friends for 43 years and married for 41.

Sharing the sad news he said: "I’m broken. Just lost my beautiful wife to cancer. She was my best friend for 43 years and my wife for 41 years. Cancer is real, but it shouldn’t be a death sentence - awareness, and early detection and treatment are key to survival. I miss her so so much. I’m broken."

In a different tweet, the media executive disclosed that their children are devastated by the news. He, however, stressed the need to be strong for them. Ben noted that although she is gone, she would always remain alive in their hearts.
