Not less than 15 players playing for Italian Serie A giants Sampdoria have been confirmed as carriers of deadly coronavirus in a shocking declaration by midfielder Jakub Jankto.
Italy is the leading country that currently has the highest number of coronavirus victims which has killed many with countless in the hospitals for treatments.
Initially, five players were said to have been confirmed as sufferers of the disease by Sampdoria in which they claimed that these men have been quarantined.
But 24-year-old Czech Republic footballer Jakub Jankto had added to the fears and shock on ground by explaining that the figure reported by the club is wrong.
He also stressed that he has locked all members of his family indoors so as for them to avoid contracting the disturbing virus.
"I was in direct contact with teammates who tested positive. Now there are 15 people infected with the corona virus in the club, even more so.
"I myself don't know whether I'm healthy or not but I feel fine and hope I don't have it. Maybe there might be a virus in my body but I don't know,''. he told Sport.cz.
The crisis the coronavirus has caused has also made the Italian football chiefs to suspend all games until when there will be peace in the country.
Not even only in Italy as most Leagues in the world have been suspended because of coronavirus.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how entire football fraternities were thrown into mourning and serious confusion following the death of Spanish football coach Francisco Garcia who died after contracting coronavirus.
The 21-year-old Spaniard is said to have been working with Portada Alta which is a club in Malaga since three years ago before he died untimely.
According to the report on UK Sun, Garcia was first diagnosed of leukemia and was rushed to the hospital before the symptoms of coronavirus came.
He is now the first youngest victim of the deadly coronavirus which has been troubling the planet earth since December 2019.
Doctors are said to have tried all they could to save his life, but all efforts were futile.
Since the outbreak of the disease, almost 300 people are reported to have died in Spain with many still battling for survival in the hospital.
The sad situation also forced football authorities to suspend all games in Spain until next month due to the fear of coronavirus.
