Tragedy struck on Sunday morning, March 15, 2020, after a pipeline exploded in the Abule Ado community of Lagos, killing several people and injuring many others.
A number of people who were miles away from where the blast occurred also heard the explosion and videos and photos started to make the rounds on social media showing the level of destruction it caused.
Just recently, Nollywood actress, Nkiru Umeh, took to social media to reveal the extent of damage the Abule Ado explosion caused to her properties.
The film star shared photos and videos of her home and beauty parlour which are both situated in the community and how it has been totally destroyed as a result of the explosion.
Despite her great loss of properties, Umeh thanked God that her life and that of her loved ones were not lost due to the explosion.
She wrote: “What’s left of my beautiful home. If you haven’t been to my house you might not really understand this. But again I thank God we were in the church. My boy and my PA miraculously escaped through the back fence that fell down though the boy got injured but he is getting better.”
