- Bruno Fernandes got his reign started at Man United on a bright note
- The Portuguese midfielder won the Premier League player of the month for February
- Fernandes was involved with five EPL goals in his first month at the club
- The midfielder scored two and assisted three others and has hailed Ronaldo has his idol
Bruno Fernandes was recently crowned Premier League player of the month for February after his impressive start to his reign at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old has scored two goals and three assists in five Premier League appearances since he joined the Red Devils in a deal worth £50 million from sporting Lisbon in January.
He outshined Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as well as Chelsea's Marcos Alonso among a few other players.
Since his arrival, United have not lost a single game in all competitions as they currently fifth on the EPL table with 45 points - three points behind Chelsea.
However, the midfielder seems to be following the tracks of countryman Cristiano Ronaldo when he moved the Theater of Dreams back in 2003.
The 35-year-old spent six years at the club and won one Champions League, three Premier League titles and several other domestic titles.
He was also awarded several individual prizes to crown his impressive performances during his stay at the club.

The winger left United to join Real Madrid in 2009 and Fernandes seems to have endorsed his compatriot as his idol as reported by The Mirror.
Speaking to Cronache Di Spogliatoio, Fernandes said: "He welcomed me very well to the Portugal national team.
"We look at him as an idol, he has always been an idol for me. I followed his example, he is one of my favourites.
"When I was called up by Portugal, he came to me saying, ‘You are doing a good job at Sporting, I like it’. Words like these make the difference.”
Fernandes described how he was impressed with United as soon as he arrived for a medical back in January.
“When I arrived for the medicals, everything impressed me,” he said. “At the training ground, you can find everything.
“At Old Trafford you warm up with nobody in the stands, you hear nothing in the tunnel, and then you enter the pitch and you hear an incredible noise.
“If you talk about stadiums that everyone knows, the most historic are San Siro and Old Trafford.”
