Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Mercy Eke has reacted to the news of a reverend sister who died in the Abule Odo gas explosion. The reality TV star took to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to express her condolence message.
Legit.ng earlier reported that a school principal identified as Reverend Sister Henrietta Alokha died while trying to save the lives of her students when the pipeline exploded in the community.
The Reverend Sister was the principal of Bethlehem Girls College and she laid down her life for her students. Reverend Sister Alokha was rescuing her students before the roof of the collapsing building fell on her and killed her.
Many Nigerians have expressed their sorrow at the incidence and the news about the death of the Reverend Sister. Mercy is the latest person to express her grief.

She described the Reverend Sister as a hero while noting the magnitude of the sacrifice she did that led to her death. Referring to her as an angel of God, the reality TV star prayed that there would be joy in heaven for her arrival.
The BBNaija star also prayed for the families who lost their loved ones in the explosion. She noted that God would give them the strength to bear the great loss.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that PDP called for a drastic measure on disaster management, lauded Rev sister. The People's Democratic Party described the incident as tragic and unfortunate which could have initially been averted. The opposition party said there should be an overhaul of the nation’s emergency management in a way that would strengthen disaster management nationwide.
PDP also commended late Reverend Sister Alokha who laid down her life because she wanted to save the lives of her pupils numbering over 300.
