Cristiano Ronaldo's hotel in Lisbon, Portugal, has refuted claims it has been converted into a makeshift hospital for patients battling coronavirus.
It was rumoured on Sunday, March 15, the Pestana CR7 hotel was transformed into an infirmary for people ailing from the epidemic.
The Sun reports Portugal is already dealing with over 150 cases of the virus but is yet to record any fatality.
It was reported the rise of patients battling the condition had prompted Cristiano to slot in to help in what could have turned out as a kind gesture from the football star.
Bug the luxurious hotel located in the Portuguese capital has come out to quash the claims previously reported by a number of media outlets.
“We are a hotel. We are not going to be a hospital," a spokesperson told Dutch outlet RTL Nieuws according to SunSport.
"It is a day like everyone else, we are and will remain a hotel," the spokesperson added.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is currently self-quarantined in Madeira having jetted back home from Italy recently.
He has since tested negative for the virus and even taken to social media to send a message of solidarity for the world.
