Ezequiel Garay is the first La Liga player that has tested positive to the deadly Coronavirus, cited on his Instagram handle.
The Argentina international was tested, alongside all members of the Valencia first team, prior to the club suspending all activities on March 13, 2020.
The 33-year-old missed both legs of Valencia's Champions League round of 16 loss to Atalanta in due to a serious injury that would keep him out of the rest of the season.
But the central defender has come out to admit on his social media handle to confirm that he has contracted the disease.
"I've tested positive for the coronavirus, I feel great and now all that's left is to listen to the health authorities. For the moment, I have to be isolated," said the Valencia player.
