Man begs Mayorkun's mum to plead with son to refund N3.5m he was paid

Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel professionally known as Mayorkun may have pissed some fans off, judging from a recent video currently trending online.

An unnamed man recently made the video in which he can be seen and heard pleading to the singer's mother, Toyin Adewale, to help beg him to refund the money; N3.5m, for the show he was paid for and failed to show up.

He described the singer's no-show attitude as thievery and warned that failure to pay back the money will result in a lawsuit that can be damaging to his career. The man who was pictured on his knees advised her to talk to him to pay back the money.

This is not the first time the singer is being called out for being a no-show.

Only a few weeks ago, an unnamed man gave the singer an ultimatum to refund the money he was paid for his performance in Warri, else, he would be banned from performing anywhere in the state.

In a video online, the aggrieved man was seen in a car angrily talking about how Mayorkun was billed to perform on February 14, for Valentine’s Day party in Warri but he failed to show up.

The unidentified man noted that some people traveled down from abroad to see the singer but he disappointed them and he also refused to refund the money that was paid to him for his performance.

Meanwhile, the singer’s recently released music single Geng became an instant hit and has since been enjoying massive airplay on radio stations across the country.

Well, it appears Mayorkun has now given himself a big pat on the back for a job well done by splashing several millions of naira on a brand new Range Rover SUV.
