John Obi Mikel has reacted to news that he will return to his former club side Chelsea not as a player, but as a member of the coaching crew, as cited by Daily Star.

The 32-year-old who featured in 372 matches scoring six goals for the Stamford Bridge side has been tipped to return to the Premier League club to join the coaching crew

He currently plays for Turkish club Trabzonspor and he is crucial player in the team.

The report of returning to Chelsea where he won nine trophies reached him as a surprise and he says he wondered where the news came from.

“To be honest, I have no idea where this story came from,” Mikel told Sabah of the rumours.

"I was surprised when I saw the news because neither me nor my club had a meeting with Chelsea about becoming a coach." earlier reported that former Super Eagles number one goalie Vincent Enyeama has rubbished reports that he has retired from football after finding it hard to get a club for the past three years.

Since the ex Enyimba captain was released in France in April 2017, he has not played any competitive football for any club in the world.

This has made many local media outlets to be speculating that Vincent Enyeama has hanged his gloves even though there was no announcement from the player to that effect.

The 37-year-old has been seen many times playing the game of golf in which many thought Enyeama may have shifted concentration from football to golf.

But while speaking with FrunSports according to Complete Sports, Enyeama stated emphatically that he is not done yet with football claiming that he wants to play again.

“I enjoy playing golf so I understand the confusion. I have been staying in shape.

“It is not secret that I love football and I am still in contention to play again,'' Vincent Enyeama explained.

But it is not yet clear the level at which Vincent Enyeama would want to play in should he returns to football considering the fact that no club in Europe is looking for him this summer.
