Exclusive: Rapper Zlatan Ibile speaks about new projects, working with Obesere

- The music star opened up about his career and getting to work with legendary fuji star Obesere

- Zlatan also talked about his relationship with former BBNaija reality star Tacha

Popular Nigerian rapper Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael professionally known as Zlatan Ibile was recently a guest on Legit TV and the indigenous rap sensation had a lot to say about his rise to fame and how he gets inspiration for his songs.

Speaking with Legit.ng presenter Abisola Alawode about his latest song Unripe Pawpaw which is enjoying massive play in clubs and radio stations across the country, Zlatan, noted that he was inspired to make the song by the ongoing events in his life.

The rapper also made it known that every other song he has recorded in the past or would record in future, will always be driven by the things going on in his life. Zlatan categorically stated that he makes music not to please anyone but himself.

Zlatan also spoke about his upcoming collaboration with fuji musician Abass Akanda aka Obesere on his old song, Egungun Be Careful, that recently came back to life on social media. Zlatan said he was just six years old when the song was released and it took another 19 years before he got the opportunity to work on a collaboration.

On a final note, Zlatan responded to a fan who wanted to know the relationship between him and ex-Big Brother Naija (BBNaija). Zlatan teasingly noted that the young lady is his mummy and she gave birth to him.

“Tacha is my mummy, she gave birth to me,” he said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Zlatan Ibile shared his encounter with some Nigerian policemen on social media. In a video shared on his Snapchat, the Bolanle crooner was seen mocking the uniformed men. Zlatan asked them if they do not watch TV as he commanded them to leave his front.
