Former American professional basketball player, Dwyane Wade recently stepped out with his daughter, Zaya as she made her first public appearance after coming out as transgender.
The 12-year-old, who was born a boy named Zion, stepped out with his father and stepmom, Gabrielle Union and attended the Better Brothers Los Angeles’ 6th annual Truth Awards at Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles.
Sharing a photo of Zaya, Dwyane wrote: "Everyone allow her to re-introduce herself her name is Zaya Wade! Last night was Zaya’s first red carpet and we couldn’t have been prouder of how she handled the questions that were asked of her. She has emerged as one of the young faces and voices for the LGBTQ+ community. #truthawards."

Union also shared photos and video with Zaya and her husband. In one of the post, she wrote: "We keep moving forward. We keep leading with love, light, and hope for a better more inclusive world. Stay put and stay mad if you want. We keep it pushing. Always. ❤❤❤"
