A team bus carrying 27 people from club Étoile de Guinée was headed for the team’s first game of the season when it was involved in the fatal accident in Keita’s native Guinea.
A further 19 people were seriously injured in the accident which took place about 250km east of Guinea’s capital Conakry.
It has now been gathered that Keita's cousin Almamy Keita was on board the bus but he survived the accident.
