Alisson Becker: Liverpool to miss the Brazilian goalie for UCL tie against Atletico

- Alisson Becker has been ruled out of Liverpool's next two games

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that number one goalie Alisson Becker will miss the club's next two games against Bournemouth in the Premier League and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 second leg tie.

This comes after the Brazilian goalkeeper suffered a muscle injury in training before his side's FA Cup clash against Chelsea which the Reds suffered a defeat.

Second choice goalie Adrian was used in the tie against the Blues and he will get the chance to be in goal again this weekend and next mid week in the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp did not explain in particular when Alisson Becker will return back to action, but the German professional coach hopes he returns after the international break.

“Unfortunately Ali is out.

“He had a little incident in training before the Chelsea game. We all thought it was nothing and it was clear he would not play anyway,'' Klopp explained according to Liverpool website.

After suffering their first defeat this season in the Premier League in their last game, Liverpool will want to redeem themselves by beating Bournemouth.

Although their defeat against Watford had no major disadvantage on their Premier League title ambition as they are still topping the table with 22 points.

And in the Champions League, Liverpool will want to upturn their first leg defeat against Atletico by doing all their best to progress to the next round.

They are the defending champions after beating fellow Premier League rivals Tottenham in the final last year.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Liverpool have now lost three of their last four games and their chances of winning a treble this season has been blown away and fans are worried, Give Me Sport reports.
