With a recent court ruling suspending Oshiomhole, believed to have been procured by proxy by the governors, analysts close to the power play in the party, say the stage is set for an epic battle with the national leader.
Tinubu is believed to, however, still have the ears of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Meanwhile, a federal high court sitting in Kano dismissed the ruling of another court in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja which suspended Oshiomhole on Wednesday, March 4.
Delivering his judgement on Thursday, March 5, Justice Lewis-Allagoa restrained the APC from recognising anyone apart from Oshiomhole as its national chairman.
Before the Kano court ruling, there were rumours that Senator Abiola Ajimobi will take over the affairs of the party in an acting capacity.
Ajimobi, a former governor of Oyo state, was named deputy national chairman of the party on Wednesday, March 4.
