Semi Ajayi is now valued at £4.50million becoming the Nigeria’s second most expensive defender after Torino’s Ola Aina who is currently valued at £9.00m.

Ajayi has been outstanding this season for his SkyBet championship side West Bromwich Albion who are currently top on the table with 69 points after 34 matches.

The 26-year-old’s worth increased considerably from £2.00m to £4.50m ahead of Udinese’s William Troost-Ekong who is valued at £3.60m.

Other defenders who could command big transfer fees if they plan to move are Leganes’ Kenneth Omeruo who currently pairs William Troost-Ekong and is valued at £2.70m.

Paderbon’s Jamilu Collins is valued at £2.70m and can also get stiff competition from Ajayi for the Super Eagles left-back position.

Ajayi could be in action on Tuesday, March 3, as his side welcome Premier League side Newcastle United in the English FA Cup.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian football star Wilfred Ndidi has shown that he is more than just a quality player as the midfielder showed off his superb boxing skills.

The Super Eagles player was filmed throwing punches and jabs with his Leicester City teammate Jamie Vardy in a big room that looked like their indoor training facility.

To show that they are professionals in the sport, the duo were spotted wearing a glove on one hand and a punching pad on the other as they moved round in circles like professionals.

The 33-year-old kept one punch under his guards before running off the view of the camera, and by then, Ndidi was already on the floor but laughing after the fight.

Meanwhile, the former Genk midfielder shared the short clip on his official Instagram page saying: "Will be back stronger Jamie Vardy KO". Ndidi has scored twice and assisted one other goal in 22 Premier League appearances for the Foxes so far this campaign.

His contributions have helped the King Power Stadium outfit maintain their top-four position with five points better than struggling Chelsea on the table.
