AGF Malami orders police to unseal Peace Corps headquarters
- The Nigeria Police has been directed to unseal the office of the Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN)

- Malami directed that Peace Corp office located in Jabi area Abuja be unsealed immediately
The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, on Friday, February 28, ordered the Nigeria Police and the Inspector general of Police to unseal the headquarters of the Peace Corps of Nigeria.
The order by the AGF was given to the Police in a letter of instruction from Malami's office on Friday afternoon, ThisDay reports.
The AGF's order also comes three-years after the headquarters of the Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN) located at number 15, Iya Abubakar Crescent, off Alex Ekwueme street, Jabi area Abuja, was sealed off by the former IGP, Ibrahim Idris.
The Police had on February 28, 2017, sealed off the PCN office on the same day it was commissioned in Abuja.
Confirming the AGF's order, a source at the Force Headquarters told Sahara Reporters that Malami, who doubles as Nigeria's minister of justice in his order directed that the PCN office is unsealed immediately.
The source said IGP Muhammad Adamu would not hesitate to comply with the instruction of the AGF.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previous reported that a senior advocate of Nigeria, Kanu Agabi, earlier petitioned the AGF to prevail on the Nigeria Police to obey court orders over the sealing of the Peace Corps office in Abuja.

Agabi in a letter dated Thursday, January 16, said that despite subsisting judgements and orders from various courts which were never upturned or appealed against, the Nigeria Police, through the Ondo state commissioner, CP Undie Adie, on Monday, January 13, arrested the Ondo state Commandant of the Corps.
