Nigerian football legend Austin Okocha deserved to win the Africa footballer of the year award at least three times according to Samuel Eto'o.
The Cameroon legend is currently in Lagos to grace one of the football event in the business hub of the west African country.
Eto'o, 38, won the CAF best footballer's top prize four times and he is the second player to have achieved such feat.
Former Manchester City and Barcelona star Yaya Toure is the second - but he is considered the greatest after winning the award four consecutive times.
Okocha on the other hand finished third twice behind Eto'o and Didier Drogba in 2003 and 2004 during his reign at Bolton Wanderers.
The two-time Champions League winner said: "Football was unfair to Okocha as he should have won Africa's best atleast 3 times.
"When you have the honor of sharing a coffee with his excellence Mr. Okocha. "Thank you for all the emotions. he shared on his official Instagram page.
The 38-year-old was part of the Indomintable Lions team that won the Africa Cup of Nations back to back in 2000 and 2002.
He also played a key role in helping his country emerge victorious at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games - winning gold medal in the men's football event.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Cameroonian football legend Samuel Eto'o has made it clear that his former teammate at Barcelona Lionel Messi is the best footballer in the world.
His statement comes hours after the former African player of the year was quoted to have named Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo as the best of all time.
Eto'o who played in Italy with Inter Milan was asked to talk about the present rivalry between his former club and Juventus.
It was then that the 38-year-old made the statement that the Old Lady have Cristiano Ronaldo who he identified as the best of all time.
