Party bus: Meet 2 Nigerians who use danfos to organise parties in Lagos at different venues

- Two Nigerians, Emeka Okocha and Uzoamaka Umeh, are changing the face of social life in Lagos with the inclusion of danfo buses

- With their company EXP Lagos, they take people on the bus to different locations in the city every month for new experiences

- The founders said they want people to experience danfo in a way they may not have known it before

It is very interesting how youths are always rethinking newer ways of doing common things and make life more fun.

A company called EXP Lagos operated by Emeka Okocha and Uzoamaka Umeh is championing a new way of partying in the city.

With danfo buses that are synonymous with Lagos, they create a party atmosphere that allows “people to discover the 'Lagos experience' they are not used to”.

They said the whole idea behind the company is to take people to places they may not know in Lagos every first Friday.

With that, they pick people on the bus and take them to places in Lagos. In other not to make the whole thing boring, they choose different venues monthly.

“What we are doing is to make sure people are safe, make sure people are happy, and have an experience they won’t forget about,” Okocha said.

According to Umeh, the service is really cheap so that everybody can join them without having to break a bank.

“For me, I think the danfo is very symbolic in the history of Nigeria. For one, it’s withstood the test of time,” Okocha said.

She also said that it is one of their ways of preserving the bus as it is a necessary tool that gets people from one place to another.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Deborah Daniel is using her non-profit organization, Hygiene on Wheels, to help homeless people get a comfortable life.

She converts old buses into mobile showers and laundry for the homeless. That way, whenever the bus is around, they can walk into it and have a thorough cleanup.

In speaking with the media, Deborah said the main goal of the organization is to make improve the living condition of those who cannot afford basic hygiene. ( -> We have upgraded to serve you better
