- N'Golo Kante will not be in Frank Lampard's line up when Chelsea file out against Tottenham
- The France international is yet to recover from injury during the Blues loss to Man United
- Jose Mourinho will be making a dramatic return to Stamford Bridge with the Lily Whites
N'Golo Kante has been ruled out of Chelsea's crunch Premier League match against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
The 29-year-old hobbled off the field during last Monday's loss to Man United and the Frenchman has not recovered in time to be fully fit for the fixture.
The match would see Jose Mourinho return to his former club as the battle for a top-four finish between both London clubs hots up for the umpteenth time.
In the reverse fixture at north London, a double from Willian saw the Blues get the better of Mourinho as Spurs manager.
But the second of phase of fixture will be intriguing as a point separate the Lilly White and the Blues, and a win for Mourinho's side would see his men leapfrog Frank Lampard's side to fourth on the table.
Heung-Min Son's 94th minute winner saw Spurs edge out Aston Villa at Villa Park as their chances of Champions League football next season brightens up.
On the other hand, Lampard has come under immense pressure following his poor home record with top league sides this season.
And the Blues will be welcoming Bundesliga side Bayern Munich for their round of 16 clash in Europe's elite competition.
The former Barcelona teammates clashed after the Frenchman accused some players of getting ex-boss Enersto Valverde sacked due to lack of commitment.
