When many Nigerian citizens are looking for greener pastures, trying to get any reason to leave the country for a more "structured" society, a lady wants to be called a full Nigerian.
The lady with the social media handle @stephis2kul4ya who is reportedly part Nigerian and part Ukrainian showed off the ankara print her mummy bought for her in beautiful pictures on Tuesday, February 18.
She does not mince words in telling her followers that she is showing off the clothes. In her post, she asked if she could now be called a full Nigerian.
A further search by Legit.ng reveals her name to be Demi Akojuru.
In recent times, many foreigners have been showing great interest in the country's citizenship.
Recall that American rapper Cardi B appeared to be taking her quest to become a citizen of Nigeria pretty seriously as she involved her family also.
Shortly after sharing a post on Twitter about her plans to get Nigerian citizenship, the Bodak Yellow crooner returned with a different tweet in which she asked Nigerians to convince her husband and fellow rapper, Offset to move with her.
She sharing a photoshopped picture of Offset in a blue agbada, she wrote: "Convince him to move with me."
Also, in a recent interview with the media, Lil Wayne was asked about one of his songs in which he mentioned being Nigerian.
A part of the lyric read: "Shout out to Nigeria, I did my 23 and me ancestry dot com and my sh*t came back like 53% Nigerian. Yea! Me and my mum need to have a talk (Laughter)."
Explaining his reasons, he stated that he recently traced his roots to Nigeria using an ancestral search, and discovered he was actually 53% Nigerian. When asked if he'd love to visit the country, he answered in the affirmative.
