- Gareth Bale is doubtful for Real Madrid's clash against Levante
- The Welshman was struck with stomach flu during their training session earlier today
- Bale was however asked to go home before the end of the training
- Luka Jovic was also excused from the session
Gareth Bale is doubtful for Real Madrid's trip to Levante this weekend in La Liga after being sent home from training over personal troubles.
The Welshman who has been heavily linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu was said to have been infected with stomach flu called gastroenteritis.
According to SunSport, the former Tottenham Hotspur man was said to have arrived early for the session but he could not see out the entire proceedings with his teammates.
Reports claim the club told him to go home around 10:30am in the morning and that casts doubt on his availability for this weekend's clash.
The Sun added that summer signing Luka Jovic has also been excused from the rest of the team, although, it is unknown what his situation he is facing.
And Zinedine Zidane might be planning for the game on Saturday without the pair as they hope to return to winning ways after their 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo.
Bale has made just 14 Spanish League appearances so far this campaign - scoring two goals and two assists in the process.
The Welshman joined Los Blancos in the then world-record fee around £85.3m in 2013 but has faced loads of scrutiny from the club's supporters.
After the news broke, some fans expressed their displeasure about the winger's poor showing on social media.
One fan wrote: ‘‘Sickening game from Bale, I really can’t be more patient with him!! Every round he drops a disaster class over another one. Hope we get rid of him asap!’’
Another fan added: "Bale is a joke and Zidane is a joke for playing him’’.

The Welshman was close to moving to China last summer in a bid round £1 billion but Real chief Florentino Perez pulled the plug on the deal.
Zidane's men are currently topping the La Liga table with 53 points from 24 matches - just one point above Barcelona on the table.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Real Madrid's 21-match unbeaten run came to an abrupt end following their 4-3 defeat to Real Sociedad in the last eight stage of their Copa Del Rey clash at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The visitors got the game off to a flying start after two goals from Alexander Isak and one from Martin Odegaard gave them a three-goal lead in the first half.
Real would be unhappy to have loaned Odegaard the Royal Blues as he got the opening goal against his parent club in the early minutes of the meeting.
