President Buhari attends graduating ceremony of EFCC cadets in Kaduna

President Muhammadu Buhari attended the passing out parade of the Detective Inspector Course of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Kaduna state on Tuesday, February 18.
The ceremony which took place at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna highlighted months of military training and grooming of 281 cadets, in preparation for a career as EFCC officers.
Ibrahim Magu, the EFCC chairman, noted that the collaboration with NDA is to make sure that the officers will not be defeated in the fight against corruption.

Meanwhile Legit.ng previously reported that the chairman of the EFCC told workers that going late to work is an act of corruption that must be stopped.
Magu made the statement on Friday, February 14, at an anti-corruption walk organized in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). He said most civil servants who work at the federal secretariat in Abuja don’t show up early to work.
In a related development, President Buhari went to the commercial city of Kano state to attend an event held by the Nigeria Police Force.
The president attended the 2nd convocation ceremony/Passing Out Parade (POP) of the graduating 2nd regular cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano, as the special guest of honour.
Similarly, Magu, has appealed to the government of the United Kingdom (UK) to extradite the former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, to account for alleged missing of $2.5 billion in her ministry during the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
The EFCC chairman at a media briefing in Kaduna on Monday, February 17, said personnel of the commission were trained to, “shoot and kill corruption in Nigeria, so we cannot be challenged by any threat."
